The ability to use our DeWalt 20v MAX batteries (best on the market!) is also a very important selling point. We purchased this unit to be rid of our corded trimmer. Corded units or gas powered units are a more powerful, but the Heinpro is strong enough to do the job, and its freedom of movement far outweighs the hassle of using electrical cords or keeping a gas engine in tune. We can just grab the Heinpro and go do large or small jobs.We haven’t even come close to using up our smallest (3 Ah) battery, so we cannot even give a run time per battery estimate. Our 2.5 acre property includes over 8000 square feet of grass that grows around multiple trees and bushes and, with all of our stepping-stone paths, there is a lot trimming to do. We can say we’ve used this trimmer for more than two hours continuously, and the battery had plenty of power left to do a lot more. It is a pleasure to just grab the unit and go do large or small jobs.Our past trimmers had to have their strings manually wound around a spool. This Heinpro uses the more modern ‘plug-in’ cartridge for quick and no-hassle changes of string.An offered warranty came with the trimmer. We don’t recall it being mentioned on its Amazon page, but it arrived with the trimmer. Our experience is that Amazon sellers like Heinpro do not respond to queries very well.Surprise! This company quickly responded to our request to start the warranty (they provided an email address for requesting it). It looks like we won’t be needing to use the warranty, as the unit has been operating superbly for over a month now and shows no sign of wear and tear.If we have any problems with the unit, we’ll post an update … but we expect that will not happen.”

This one has plenty of torque to cut through weeds and it well balanced though the trigger lock does cause hand fatigue after a while. My only complaint is the string used curls under and doesn’t shoot in a straight line like it should. It comes with 2 reels, haven’t used one up yet to try other string, but it still gets the job done. What’s not told in the little booklet is how to advance the string. This does not have a tap n go advancement, you have to stop it, and it advances just before it stops spinning, so when it gets short, bump the switch a couple times and listen for the click before the next trigger pull.”

I needed a small lightweight electric screwdriver because the project had a lot of screws that needed to be screwed in and I didn’t want to use a manual one. I bought it mainly because of the reviews and the simple elegance to it. When It arrived I was shocked! The first thing that came to mind to describe this tool is “If Apple was to make an electric screwdriver, this is what it would be”. The build quality on this is very impressive, the simplicity of the design is very Apple like. The case design is ingenious. It is a very well though out product. There is one rocker button for forward and reverse, a turn knob at the top for on/off and torque setting (of which there are three choices) and a USB-C port at the bottom end for charging, that’s it. No unnecessary buttons, knobs or extra features, just plain, simple design.So how does it work? I used it on my project and was very happy with it. It has a lot more torque than I though it would. If I had to pick a negative point on this product it would be that it has so much torque it spins the screwdriver out of your hand when your done screwing something in. Unlike a drill, which when it reaches it torque limit makes a grinding sound to let you know it doesn’t have enough torque to continue turning the screw or drill bit, this has so much torque on the lowest setting it spins the screwdriver out of your hand when you reach the end. The battery seemed to last a long time, I never ran out of power on my project and used it quite a bit. it has a nice assortment of bits that come with it and they seem to be good quality as well. The case is a metal cylinder, in which the bottom holds the bits in the outer part and the center holds the tool itself. A metal cylinder sleeve fits over it and locks into place by turning it. This is the best built, simplest design I have ever seen (again, very Apple like). I would highly recommend this product to anyone wanting a high quality, easy to use electric screwdriver.”
